Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thanh currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Information Communication Convergence Technology Department, Soongsil University, Seoul, South Korea, and is a founding member of the VBI Academy. He also holds the position of Associate Editor with IEEE Access. In 2019, he worked as a visiting scientist at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, MIT, MA, USA.
He completed his Ph.D. studies at the School of Computing and Information Technology, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, Australia, where he was awarded a full scholarship from the university and the prestigious National ICT Australia scholarship for outstanding Ph.D. candidates.
In 2020, Mr. Thanh was honored to receive the TOP 10 Excellent Young Faces of Vietnam award from the Prime Minister of Vietnam, as well as the Golden Globe Award for Outstanding Technology from the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. In the same year, he was awarded the Honorary Citizen Award by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, South Korea. He also serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Access Journal and as a Technical Program Committee member for top conferences, and he contributes as a reviewer for leading journals.
His current research interests include Internet of Things and Cloud Computing, 5G-6G networks, next-generation broadcasting networks, ICT convergence, and blockchain. In addition to his academic pursuits, he serves as an advisor/ambassador for several technology venture funds and educational organizations.
