Minh N. Do is the Thomas and Margaret Huang Endowed Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and holds affiliate appointments with the Coordinated Science Laboratory, Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, Department of Bioengineering, Department of Computer Science, and College of Medicine, at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, where he has been a faculty member since 2002. He has contributed to several tech-transfer efforts, including as a co-founder and CTO of Personify and Chief Scientist of Misfit. From 2020 to 2021, he was the Vice Provost and then continues as an Honorary Vice Provost with VinUniversity, the first private not-for-profit Vietnamese university established based on international standards. He also serves as the Director of the joint VinUni-Illinois Smart Health Center, that aims to develop sensing and digital technologies to provide widely accessible health monitoring and improvement for people all over the world.
