The first Vietnamese to export drones to the United States
Luong Viet Quoc is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RealTime Robotics Inc (RtR) and the first Vietnamese to export drones to the United States.
Born and raised in Saigon, Luong Viet Quoc experienced a childhood marked by uncertainty and hardship, working in waste collection along the canals. Despite these challenges, he rose above his circumstances and earned a FullBright scholarship to pursue a master's degree in the United States.
In 2014, Luong Viet Quoc founded a drone startup in San Francisco, California. He received acceptance and scholarship offers from eight top U.S. universities for his Ph.D. studies. In 2017, he expanded his ventures by establishing RealTime Robotics Inc (RtR) in Vietnam, becoming the first Vietnamese to be licensed for drone production.
RtR has built a team of 50 engineers, all Vietnamese, responsible for various aspects, including aircraft design, materials, electronics, and control programming. With the creative efforts of his team, CEO Luong Viet Quoc asserts that RtR owns drone technology from A to Z, actively manufacturing all related components and software.
In 2022, the HERA drone developed and produced by RtR was introduced at the Vietnam International Defense Expo and received orders from RMUS, a major drone distributor in the United States. The first batch of products ordered by RMUS will be supplied to U.S. law enforcement agencies.
