Owner of 25 SEAGames Gold Medals

Nguyen Thi Anh Vien is a former female swimmer associated with the Military Sports Delegation and the National Swimming Team, holding the rank of Captain in the Vietnam People's Army. At the young age of 19, she secured 8 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal for Vietnam, breaking 8 records. She was acknowledged as the most outstanding athlete from a country outside Singapore at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore. She also ranked 25th globally in the women's 400m freestyle and 9th in the world in the 400m individual medley. In 2023, she became the youngest professional military captain in Vietnam and was awarded the Second-Class Labor Medal. 

Throughout her competitive career, Anh Vien has earned approximately 150 medals, including 25 gold medals at the SEA Games, continuously setting records domestically and internationally. She has always been a source of pride for Vietnamese sports.
