Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thoi Trung received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from National University of Singapore in 2010 with Best PhD Thesis award. He was the former Director of Institute for Computational Science, Ton Duc Thang University (2014 – 2022). He has been now the Director of Institute for Computational Science & Artificial Intelligence, Van Lang University since 8/2022. His research interests include Computational mechanics and Artificial Intelligence. He has published over 320 ISI papers, finished 6 national research projects, H-index = 66 with more than 16000 citations (ISI).
He is a member of Scientific Council of National Foundation “NAFOSTED”, major in Mechanics - Engineering (2022 - 2024). He is granted "Bualuang ASEAN Chair Professor" (2022–2024) of Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, Thailand. He was listed in top 1% Highly Cited Researchers (Clarivate Analytics) in 2021, top 2% of worldwide scientists with top citations for 5 consecutive years (2019 - 2023). He is a member of Editorial Board of Journal “Computers & Structures” (Q1, Elsevier) and some other journals.
