Thanh Vu is a graduate from Schulich School of Business, Canada. Previously worked at Bloomberg (Singapore), she left the world of financial analytics and made history in the world of endurance running as the first female from Asia to complete the 4 Deserts Grand Slam, 1000km across the world’s toughest deserts (Namibia, Gobi, Atacama, and Antarctica) in 2016. In 2017, she became the first Asian female to finish The Track 522km in Australia, one of the world’s longest self-supported multi-staged races. In 2018, she completed 230km race in the European Arctic Circle and 273km race across one of the world’s 7 natural wonders – the Grand Canyon in North America. She has now run on all 7 continents. In 2019, she added 173kmof the Everest Trail Race in the Himalayas to the list of endurance challenges conquered.

 

In August 2022, she became the 1st Asian female to become the IUTA World Champion of the Deca Ultra Triathlon distance in the continuous format, which spans over 38km swim, 1800km bike and 422km run.

 

When she’s not exploring the human limits, she applies what her experiences to empower, inspire communities around her to challenge their own limits and thrive to be the best version of themselves. She also works for Vietnam’s largest family-owned Fast Moving Consumer Goods, bringing Vietnamese pride to the world
