Yen Tran is a University Assoc Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Edinburgh Business School – Heriot Watt University- UK. She completed her PhD at Copenhagen Business School and Stanford University, MSc and MBA at Ohio State University (OSU) and AIT. She teaches, does research, and consults for organisations in Innovation management (currently co-leads projects in Digital Transformation, Tech Commercialisation, Decarbonization in Transportation, Green Energy Transition) and Entrepreneurship (Returnees and Immigrants). Her research is world-class award winning, with Outstanding Dissertation Award Finalist (AOM 2010), won several Best Paper Awards and has been published in world class journals. She trains high-achieving PhD students including Vietnamese who won international best dissertation awards (AIB). She is an active executive board member of VIS (Vietnam Intellectual Society in the UK), leads VN-UK student and staff exchange Erasmus projects and is a frequent guest speaker in eco-innovation at international conferences. She also runs her own real estate business and an active member of VBUK (Vietnam Business Association in the UK).
